Vladimir Grishko was born on 28 July 1960 into a military family.
He graduated from the Kiev Music College. R. M. Glier, specializing in guitar and conducting, and the Petro Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.
Vladimir Grishko is the winner of the Lysenko National Contest of Vocalists (Kiev, Ukraine), the International Opera Singers Contest (Marseille, France), the Glinka All-Union Competition of Vocalists (Riga, Latvia).
He is the winner of Grand Prix, the Placido Domingo Special Prize and the “Best Tenor” title at the International Singing Competition Francisco Viñas (Barcelona, Spain), as well as the Grand Prix of the International Contest of Vocalists (Toulouse, France).
His career of an opera singer was launched in 1989 at the Kiev State Conservatory PI Tchaikovsky.
Between 1990 and 1999, he performed as an opera soloist of the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after T.G. Shevchenko. He later became a leading master of stage of the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after T.G. Shevchenko.
His debut as a pop singer was in December 2011 with the presentation of the album “Alien Paradise”.
In 2004, Vladimir was a producer of the Slavic Vocal Festival “Kievan Rus”, aimed at uniting the cultures of Slavic nations of Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
In 2005, he teamed up with James LaBrie and Thomas Duval for the project “True Symphonic Rockestra” (opera music in rock style).
Since 2006, Vladimir Grishko has been the professor of the Petro Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.
He is a soloist of the Mariinsky theatre (St. Petersburg, Russia, 1996-2006), and a soloist of “Metropolitan Opera” (New York, USA).
In 2007, he organized the project “The Face of the New Opera" at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after T.G. Shevchenko (classics is turned into a modern show with hip-hop and dance on stilts).
In 2010, he performed in Edinburgh (Scotland) with Demis Roussos and “Ricchi e Poveri”.
In 2011, Vladimir performed with Montserrat Caballe, presented a solo program “Masterpieces of Legendary Hits”, and released an album “Golden Hits”.
In 2013, the singer devoted much time to TV projects, becoming a coach of the Kiev choir in the “Battle of Choirs”, a participant of the “Vyshka” project. He was a co-producer and starred in the film about the Great Patriotic War “I was going from Berlin” (directed by Artem Prikhodko).
Vladimir Grishko is a jury member of the International Competition “Classic Russian Romance” (London, UK, 2013).
In 2014, the singer gave over 20 concerts in the cities of China.
For two years he worked in China, teaching classical and neoclassical vocals.
In 2017, he went on tours with the solo program “You Are My Melody", featuring M.Magomayev's repertoire, as part of the All-Ukrainian tour dedicated to the 30th anniversary of his creativity.
Vladimir Grishko is listed in the Book of Records of Ukraine as a Ukrainian opera singer who performed the lead roles in “Metropolitan Opera” 44 times from 1994 to 2008.
He is a regular participant of charity auctions and events, and a patron of the International Charity Festival “Sunflower Fest” (Kharkiv, Ukraine).
He has recorded more than 30 albums, released worldwide.
Vladimir Grishko has performed on the prestigious stages of Austria, Belarus, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, Russia, USA, the Czech Republic, France, Scotland, Japan and other countries.
He has more than once participated in the International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”.
