Victor Babarikin was born on 9 June 1978.

In 1993, he completed his trombone and button accordion studies at music school.

In 1997, Victor graduated from the M. I. Glinka Minsk State College of Music (piano, orchestral conducting).

Between 1996 and 1999, he worked as an artist of “Nemiga” brass band (Minsk), and also as a teacher in Borovlyany children music school.

From 1999 to 2003, Babarikin directed a wind orchestra and taught conducting at the M. I. Glinka Minsk State College of Music, was the concertmaster of the stage orchestra of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the conductor of the wind orchestra of the Belarusian State Academy of Music “Fanfares of Belarus”.

In 2002, he graduated from the orchestra faculty of the Belarusian State Academy of Music (Minsk).

In 2002, Victor Babarikin became the principal conductor of the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus, made up of the graduates and students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music, the Belarusian State University of Culture, and the M. I. Glinka Minsk State College of Music.

In 2003, he earned a master’s degree at the department of orchestral conducting of the Belarusian State Academy of Music.

In 2013, he graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus (department of psychology management).

The Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus under the artistic director and principal conductor Victor Babarikin has taken part in many important events, including the International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”, the Festival-fair of rural workers “Dozhinki”, the concert of friendship within the Year of Culture of Belarus in the Russian Federation (State Concert Hall “Russia”, Moscow), the Days of Culture of the Republic of Belarus in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the International Music Festival “Golden Shlyager”, Yuri Bashmet International Festival and many others.

In 2015, the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus was awarded the title of the “Honored Collective of the Republic of Belarus” for significant achievements in music art and contribution to the development of national culture.

The Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus headed by Victor Babarikin has been a regular participant of the International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” since 2003.

In 2004, the orchestra performed in the program “Hello, Festival!” in the framework of “Slavianski Bazaar” in the Palace of the Republic (Minsk).

In 2007, it gave a charity concert on the stage of the Summer Amphitheater.

In 2008, the Presidential Orchestra performed in the program of the anniversary concert “A Restless Heart” by composer Igor Luchenok.

In 2010, the orchestra accompanied Dmitri Hvorostovsky on the stage of the Summer Amphitheatre.

In 2012, the Concert Hall “Vitebsk” hosted the symphonic rock program “Hurricane” by the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus.

In 2013, the orchestra presented a rock program “Smoke On the Water”.

In 2014, it presented the program “Rock Meets Opera”.

The Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus has performed in the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”, the gala concerts of masters of arts of Belarus, the Days of the Belarus-Russia Union State.

In 2019, the Summer Amphitheatre is to host the “Overture to the festival: from classics to rock” concert program by the Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus under the direction of Victor Babarikin.
