Ulises Karl is totally immersed in the atmosphere of Russian music of various genres, such as opera arias, popular and folk songs, and Russian culture in general. He performed in Russian at the Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Havana, the Cuban Language Society, the National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists, the Museum of the Revolution.

Ulises is I Prize Laureate for the "Best Performance and Pronunciation" of the National Russian Music Competition in Cuba. He was invited to sing popular pieces and Russian folklore songs at the opening of the 2nd Regional and International Conference of Russian Communities of Latin America, Canada and the United States.

He was the VII International Meditation Meeting soloist (Havana, the National Museum of Fine Arts).

Ulises Karl is I Prize Winner of the International Song Contest in Cuba.

He sang solo parts of Friar Lawrence in "Romeo and Juliet", Marullo in "Rigoletto", Vodnik in "Rusalka" (Mermaid); Albert in "Werther" and as a backup vocalist in operas by Handel, Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Georges Bizet, and Richard Wagner, in works by Cuban composers Gonzalo Roig, and Ernesto Lecuona y Casado, in Zarzuela.
