Alisher Karimov was born in Dzhambul (now Taraz) on 28 October 1985.

At the age of five he received the Audience Award for the song “Chaikhana” (Teahouse) at the “Enshi Balapan” National Contest.

Alisher studied singing at the Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts in the class of the Honored Artist of Kazakhstan Lucia Tulesheva.

The singer participated in the international singing competitions and festivals in Turkey, Bulgaria, and France.

In 2005, he took second place in the national project “Superstar.Kz”. After the project he co-hosted the program “Straight Talk” on the TV channel “Khabar”.

In 2007, he was awarded two gold and one silver medals at the World Championship of Performing Arts (Hollywood, USA).

In 2011, Karimov took third place and was given the “Special Prize of the Russian Media” at the XX International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”.

In 2016, he undertook postgraduate studies in musical art at the Kazakh National University of Arts.

In September 2016, Alisher was recognized the best performer of the year, according to the Eurasian Music Award.

In February 2016, he was granted the State Prize of the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Leader of the Nation.

In 2018, Alisher was awarded the honorary title “Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan” and the Order of Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The singer has made more than 10 videos, released 4 studio albums. He is currently working on the release of his fifth album.

In 2015 and 2017 Alisher Karimov was a member of the International Jury of the International Children Music Contest “Vitebsk”.
