The international jury of the XVII International Children Music Contest “Vitebsk-2019” is very representative. The best of the best are chosen by producers, musicians, composers and artists from nine countries.

Today’s “Star Hour” has given an opportunity for the journalists to talk to the jury chairman - a popular singer, musician, composer Bosson (Sweden), as well as jury members - music producer, Head of the Board of “European Center for Youth”, President of “Riga Symphony” festival Jelena Svilpe (Latvia), television producer, musician, Director of “Star Factory” and the music project “In a Loud Voice” Lina Arifulina (Russia) and Professor of the International Academy of Culture and Performing Arts, Director of the Yerevan State College of Culture of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia, popular singer Vrezh Kirakosyan (Armenia).

Answering the questions from journalists, Jelena Svilpe expressed her gratitude to the festival organizers and the Belarusian land for the fact that there exist such a unique phenomenon as “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” which has no analogues in the whole world. “I’m glad to be a part of this festival,” said Jelena, “I see how it is changing, growing and expanding its geography. I intend to invite participants of the International Children Music Contest “Vitebsk-2019” to take part in my projects, including “Riga Symphony” festival.”

Lina Arifulina spoke highly of the organization of the concerts: “Old Man Hottabych was great, the show was dynamic and amazing. For children this competition is a real professional school, it promotes their singing, artistic, and human growth.”

Vrezh Kirakosyan represented Armenia at the XXII International Pop Song Performers Contest “Vitebsk-2013”. This year he organized national qualifying rounds for adult and children competitions. The singer is sure that many children are gifted by nature, and we only need to help their talent develop.

Popular singer Bosson has been taking part in the International Festival of Arts “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk” since 2007. He feels at home being at the festival and considers the festival a wonderful place for meeting with friends and fans. “For young artists every step on the stage is a step in learning. They need to perform more often, because the main thing is not to get a prize, but to gain experience”, said Bosson. The singer added that he didn’t even expect to see so many young talents: “They are potentially ready-made artists with beautiful voices and charisma. I am sure that soon these guys will be able to win prizes in adult competitions.”

The winners of the XVII International Children Music Contest “Vitebsk -2019” will perform in today's gala concert of the Opening Ceremony of the festival.
