ART SAVES THE WORLD. STREET ART INCLUDING.
Jul 17, 2018

It seems that the residents and guests of the city had no wish to notice that the Street Art Fest “On Seven Winds” was officially coming to an end. They found great enjoyment and a whole world of positive emotions right on the squares and streets, like the audience in the Summer Amphitheatre or in the concert hall of the Philharmonic Society, or in the theater.

The theater of dance “Altana” presented its dance performance near the monument to Pushkin. It was followed by the "Wind Dance” from the School “Stilyagi-hop”. The bright and colorful dresses, stylish suits, the make-up, energetic movements, rhythms and inexhaustible energy radiating from the dances got the spectators tempted to dance.

On Tolstoy Street one could plunge into the world of poetry. Writers from different cities and countries gathered in the courtyard of the art-space. Most participants come regularly to the festival Vitebsk: Lyubov Serdechnaya and Tatyana Kharitonova from Smolensk (Russia), Olga Golubeva-Svanberg from distant Finland. Alena Asenchik from Gomel is the winner of “Russian Poetry World Cup–2015”, but in Vitebsk she read the lines dedicated to this city. Later in the evening the family theater of shadow “Abazhurchik” appeared on the stage. “Now we are going to save the world from disaster”, said one of the participants before the performance. The street audience was offered a dance performance of shadow pictograms “It was, it is and will be”. The theatre came to participate in the Fest for the third year.

Talking to people on the streets, we learnt that, for example, Yana Yavich, Dmitry Yurtev, Margarita Bogdanovich came to watch the festival of street art from the capital of Belarus. Alexander Morozov was first time at the festival, but he is sure to come back here again...
