
The Walk of Fame

The Walk of Fame was created in 2009. One of the most attractive and beautiful decorations of the lower terrace of the Summer Amphitheatre is a visible landmark to the surrounding areas.
At the entrance to the Walk of Fame there is a stele with the statuette of a girl holding a wreath. This is an enlarged version (80 cm tall) of the prize presented to the winners of the special award of the President of the Republic of Belarus “Through Art to Peace and Mutual Understanding”.
The Walk of Fame has polished granite squares with the inscribed names of the awardees, the years of the prestigious award presentation and the festival symbol of a cornflower.
The special award of the President of the Republic of Belarus “Through Art to Peace and Mutual Understanding” is given to the workers of culture and arts, creative groups and organizations greatly contributing to strengthening of the international cultural cooperation, promotion of achievements and world art heritage.
Since 2005 the special award has been granted to Andrey PETROV (2005), Alla PUGACHEVA (2006), Sofia ROTARU (2007), Aleksandra PAHMUTOVA (2008), Valery LEONTIEV (2009), Vladimir MULYAVIN (2010), Igor Luchenok (2011), Lev LESHCHENKO (2012), Edita PIEKHA (2013).
