Honored Artist of Armenia, Chairman of the Board of Yerevan State College of Culture

Mger was born in Yerevan, into a family of musicians on 13 November 1981.

When a child, he would often spend his time backstage of the concert venues.

In 1991, his family moved to Moscow.

In 1998, Mger entered the department of singing of the State Music College of Pop-Jazz Art. After graduation, he went on his music education at the Institute of Modern Art (workshop by Vladimir Khachaturov).

In 2000, the singer was a first-prize winner at the international festivals "Shlyager "(Vladimir, Russia), "Victory Salute. 9 May" (Moscow, Russia.)

He is a prizewinner of the Moscow Open Student Festival "Festos" (Russia) and the All-Russian Festival "Golden Microphone", and a participant of the KVN Top League for the team "Not Golden Youth" (Sochi).

In 2004, he entered the contest "The Song of the Year of Armenia".

Mger went on tours to the main cities of Russia with the musical "We Will Rock You", where he played the main role of Galileo.

The singer collaborated with Brian May and Roger Taylor.

In 2005, he created the “Arm Club” project to promote the unification of young Armenians living in Russia.

In 2007, in collaboration with Bakhodir Yuldashev, he produced his first video for the song "Hauastan" ("Armenia"), composed by Sergei Smbatyan, the former Ambassador of Armenia to Russia.

The singer won the Audience Award at the International Contest of Young Performers "New Wave" (2008, Jurmala, Latvia).

After the contest, Mger decided to return to Armenia, where he gave a solo concert "We are the Champions, Armenians" (Yerevan).

The singer is often on tour, takes part in concerts by Russian performers.

He supports charity projects, promotes the Armenian culture and language, and organizes concerts in memory of the composer Arno Babajanian.

Mger is the host of "Yerevan is calling" Contest of Young Performers.
